As I sit down to pen my thoughts today
I find that the words are not getting in the way,
Nothing sounds right and nothing seems to fitChanging the words around doesn’t help a bit.
I wonder, is it the fault of the words or is it mine
My thoughts are all scattered and hard to define,
Life is moving and changing at such a fast pace
Out with the old and yet no new to replace.
Goodbye to old concepts, people and things
Scared but excited for the changes this brings,
Looking forward to promises about to unfold
Anticipating the stories as yet untold.
